Founded May 1, 1995, DiMeo Schneider & Associates, L.L.C. is based in
downtown Chicago. Prior to the founding of the firm, Bob DiMeo and Bill Schneider
spearheaded Kidder, Peabody & Co.'s institutional consulting effort in the
Midwest. Kidder, Peabody, & Co. was sold, and Bob and Bill elected to pursue
their dreams by forming their own firm. Their entire group and nearly all their
clients joined them.
The Wealth Office of DiMeo Schneider & Associates, L.L.C. was created
in response to the requests of executives and board members of institutional
clients who wanted the disciplined, successful approach for their personal investment
assets. This group now represents a sizeable portion of the firm's initiative.
In 1995, Bob and Bill wrote their first book, Designing a 401(k) Plan.
Their second book, Asset Management for Endowments & Foundations,
was published by McGraw Hill in 1997. The Practical Guide to Managing
Nonprofit Assets, was published by John Wiley & Sons in April
2005.
In 2000, DiMeo Schneider & Associates, L.L.C. became a part of National
Financial Partners (NYSE symbol - NFP), a diversified financial services group
with over 180 companies. The business model for NFP allows each firm to continue
to operate in an independent fashion and to encourage the same entrepreneurial
spirit that made each successful.
DiMeo Schneider & Associates, L.L.C. takes pride in providing conflict-free
advice grounded in solid research and leading-edge analytical capability. The
firm has more than quintupled in size since its founding. As of December 31, 2007,
assets under advisement exceed $25 billion.
